Ergodic Structure Theory and Applications

We are thrilled to announce the 28th edition of the Internet Seminar (ISem), focusing on the exciting topic of "Ergodic Structure Theory and Applications." This year promises to be an enriching experience, and we invite you to be part of it!

Seminar Structure

The ISem program is organized into three distinct phases:

Phase 1: Mid October 2024 - Mid February 2025
During this initial phase, participants will engage in a weekly virtual lecture series. Each lecture will be accompanied by 10-12 page PDF notes, culminating in a total of 15 lectures. This self-contained course will provide comprehensive study materials and exercises to enhance your understanding. Additionally, a Zulip channel will facilitate discussions, allowing participants to interact with lecturers and peers.

Phase 2: March 2025 - July 2025
Following the first phase, approximately 40-50 participants will be selected to embark on collaborative projects in small international groups. This phase offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced researchers, gaining hands-on experience in the field.

Phase 3: July 13 - July 19, 2025
The seminar will culminate in a *one-week in-person workshop* in Wuppertal, Germany. Here, project teams from Phase 2 will present their findings, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and insights.
