📣 Are you a Ghanaian female artist, whether living in Ghana or in the diaspora? This is your moment! With less than three weeks left to submit your applications, the fourth edition of the Yaa Asantewaa Art Prize is here to support and uplift emerging and established artists like you.

 

A Tribute to a Legacy

Named after the iconic Ghanaian Queen Mother, Yaa Asantewaa, this prize embodies our mission to celebrate creativity and resilience in the arts. Yaa Asantewaa is remembered for her strength and leadership during the Ashanti-British "War of the Golden Stool," making her a symbol of empowerment for women everywhere.

 

Prizes Awaiting You

Participating in the Yaa Asantewaa Art Prize not only gives you a chance to showcase your talent but also opens doors to incredible opportunities:

- First Prize: An artist residency and exhibition at Gallery 1957, plus GH₵50,000.
- First Runner-Up: GH₵30,000.
- Second Runner-Up: GH₵20,000.
