JOB DESCRIPTION
Main Accountabilities:
Program Support and Coordination:
- Support and coordinate the design and implementation of interventions promoting responsible purchasing practices in India and Vietnam.
- Support and facilitate multi-stakeholder collaboration among brands, suppliers, unions, and government stakeholders to strengthen program delivery.
- Ensure alignment with IDH’s strategic frameworks, due diligence requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Support MEL activities by tracking progress and consolidating learning from program implementation.
Contract and Budget Management:
- Draft, review, and manage contracts with partners, ensuring compliance with IDH financial and procurement policies.
- Oversee budget planning and expenditure monitoring for living wage and OHS-related activities.
- Support proposal development and co-funding strategies with brands and financial partners.
Operational Management:
- Coordinate the implementation of activities across India and Vietnam, ensuring timely delivery of outputs and outcomes.
- Manage work planning, partner coordination, risk mitigation, and reporting processes.
- Ensure the efficient use of resources and proactively identify operational challenges and solutions.
Technical Support:
Support the development of tools, training materials, and implementation guidance to build stakeholder capacity.
Key Challenges:
- Navigating complex stakeholder environments and building trust among stakeholders with sometimes conflicting views and interests.
- Balancing multiple priorities and managing diverse tasks.
- Adapting to changing priorities.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Timely and accurate reporting and documentation of program activities.
- Stakeholders (internal and external) are well-informed and remain committed to the program.
- Comprehensive work plans developed and shared timely.
- Programs activities are efficient and processes are optimized.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in in textiles, apparel, sustainability, industrial relations, social sciences or relevant fields.
- 5 years of relevant working experience in private sector preferably in the TAF industry with respect to business development and project management.
- Should have prior work experience in the sector eco system of Textile, apparel or footwear organizations.
- Expertise in wage-setting strategies, supply chain purchasing dynamics, OHS frameworks, and multi-stakeholder engagement would be a bonus.
- Strong understanding of sustainability issues and supply chain management.
- Ability to forge relationships and work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge of budget management.
