JOB DESCRIPTION


Main Accountabilities:

Program Support and Coordination:

  1. Support and coordinate the design and implementation of interventions promoting responsible purchasing practices in India and Vietnam.
  2. Support and facilitate multi-stakeholder collaboration among brands, suppliers, unions, and government stakeholders to strengthen program delivery.
  3. Ensure alignment with IDH’s strategic frameworks, due diligence requirements, and regulatory standards.
  4. Support MEL activities by tracking progress and consolidating learning from program implementation.

 

Contract and Budget Management:

  1. Draft, review, and manage contracts with partners, ensuring compliance with IDH financial and procurement policies.
  2. Oversee budget planning and expenditure monitoring for living wage and OHS-related activities.
  3. Support proposal development and co-funding strategies with brands and financial partners.

 

Operational Management:

  1. Coordinate the implementation of activities across India and Vietnam, ensuring timely delivery of outputs and outcomes.
  2. Manage work planning, partner coordination, risk mitigation, and reporting processes.
  3. Ensure the efficient use of resources and proactively identify operational challenges and solutions.

  

Technical Support:
Support the development of tools, training materials, and implementation guidance to build stakeholder capacity.

Key Challenges:

  1. Navigating complex stakeholder environments and building trust among stakeholders with sometimes   conflicting views and interests.
  2. Balancing multiple priorities and managing diverse tasks.
  3. Adapting to changing priorities.


Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Timely and accurate reporting and documentation of program activities.
  2. Stakeholders (internal and external) are well-informed and remain committed to the program.
  3. Comprehensive work plans developed and shared timely.
  4. Programs activities are efficient and processes are optimized.


Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in textiles, apparel, sustainability, industrial relations, social sciences or relevant fields.
  • 5 years of relevant working experience in private sector preferably in the TAF industry with respect to business development and project management.
  • Should have prior work experience in the sector eco system of Textile, apparel or footwear organizations.
  • Expertise in wage-setting strategies, supply chain purchasing dynamics, OHS frameworks, and multi-stakeholder engagement would be a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability issues and supply chain management.
  • Ability to forge relationships and work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge of budget management.
