JOB DESCRIPTIONS


Purpose

  •  Ensure all fleet schedules are optimized for efficiency, with minimal delays and maximum resource utilization, consistently meeting or exceeding operational deadlines.
  • Achieve cost-effective fleet management by minimizing downtime, reducing operational costs, and ensuring that fleet resources are used to their fullest potential.
  •  Maintain a high level of safety and regulatory compliance by adhering to all internal policies, industry standards, and legal requirements in scheduling and route planning.
  • Foster clear and timely communication with internal teams, drivers, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on schedules, route changes, and any operational adjustments.
  •  Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and quick resolution of any unforeseen circumstances.
  •  Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements that enhance scheduling efficiency, fleet utilization, and overall operational performance.


Essential Duties

  • Ensures personal and team compliance with all company HSE requirements & policies including Fitness for Work.
  • Complete any HSE tasks only if the hazards and any potential consequences are understood and any corrections are firstly agreed by the relevant Supervisor.
  • Lead by example, drive safety culture to ensure all staff recognize safety as their priority.
  • Display behaviour consistent with Newmont Values.
  • Provides governance over Lihir Mobile Fleet scheduling practices and standards.
  • Leads the integration of a Mobile Fleet weekly schedule, ensuring seamless coordination and optimization in fleet operations.
  • Ensure that the resource utilization is loaded and delivered at 75-85%.
  • Works constructively within a diverse group of people. Delivers consistently on commitments and takes accountability for own development.


Training & Experience

  • More the 3 years’ experience in mobile fleet maintenance planning/scheduling
  • Experience in mining asset management/maintenance
  • Proficient in English (Australia) with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office suite and SAP
  • Sound planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training.
  • Supervisory training and experienced preferred.
