Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our team in the instrumentation and automation sector. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our technical team and clients, providing expert advice and solutions that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Sales: Promote and sell instrumentation and automation products and solutions to clients in various industries, understanding their specific requirements and challenges.
- Client Consultation: Engage with customers to understand their processes and needs, providing tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing the features and benefits of our solutions to potential clients.
- Proposal Development: Prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations, ensuring they meet customer specifications and budgetary constraints.
- Market Analysis: Perform market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape, helping to refine sales strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Follow-Up: Maintain relationships with existing clients, providing ongoing support and ensuring their needs are met post-sale.
- Sales Reporting: Track sales activities and prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market intelligence for management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation) or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales or technical sales, preferably in instrumentation and automation.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation, control systems, and automation technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
- Proficiency in software tools related to sales and project management.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
