JOB DESCRIPTION


In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive market expansion and revenue growth.
  • Identify and secure high-value partnerships, negotiating business terms to maximise commercial impact.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities, ensuring a strong portfolio of prospective clients.
  • Drive full-cycle B2B sales, from lead generation to closing deals, with a focus on API solutions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and key stakeholders in the fintech ecosystem.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform business development initiatives.
  • Prepare and present strategic reports to senior leadership, demonstrating progress and opportunities for growth.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including product and compliance, to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reports and ensure partner success through ongoing engagement and relationship management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying their needs and offering tailored solutions to drive business outcomes.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing targeted sales plans to achieve business growth objectives.
  • Driving new business revenues from financial institutions, fintechs, and other key segments.
  • Negotiating complex contracts and securing long-term commercial agreements.
  • Monitoring and evaluating sales performance, taking proactive steps to optimise results.
  • Expanding Verto’s footprint in Africa by leveraging existing networks and identifying new market opportunities.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or senior sales roles in a global context.
  • Proven experience in Africa, with an established network and understanding of the business landscape.
  • Extensive B2B sales experience, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing high-value deals.
  • Strong ability to interact with executives and influence strategic decision-making.
  • In-depth understanding of the fintech and cryptocurrency sectors, particularly in payments and API-driven solutions.
  • Experience in client management, distribution channel development, and partnership management.
  • RE5 certification is mandatory.
  • A degree is required, preferably in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a licensed Financial Services Provider (FSP) is essential.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
