Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proposal Development:
    • Identify and analyze funding opportunities from governmental, private, and institutional sources.
    • Lead the drafting, editing, and submission of grant proposals and funding applications.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, project details, and supporting documentation.
  2. Grant Writing:
    • Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant narratives tailored to funders’ requirements.
    • Ensure proposals meet all technical, financial, and compliance criteria.
    • Develop budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with the finance team.
  3. Fundraising Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive grant and proposal strategy to meet funding goals.
    • Research potential funding sources and maintain an up-to-date database of opportunities.
    • Monitor industry trends and changes in funding priorities to adjust strategies accordingly.
  4. Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, grant agencies, and other stakeholders.
    • Represent the organization in meetings, presentations, and negotiations with funders.
    • Respond to inquiries from funding bodies and provide follow-up information as needed.
  5. Grant Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, including financial reporting and project deliverables.
    • Track grant performance metrics and prepare reports for funders and internal stakeholders.
    • Maintain accurate records of grant agreements, budgets, and deadlines.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with program managers, researchers, and other team members to align funding needs with organizational priorities.
    • Provide training and support to staff on grant-writing best practices and compliance requirements.
  7. Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Monitor the progress and impact of funded projects to ensure alignment with grant objectives.
    • Identify lessons learned and areas for improvement in the grant proposal process.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education and Certification:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field.
    • Advanced degrees or certifications in grant writing or fundraising are an advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in grant writing, proposal management, or fundraising.
    • Track record of successfully securing significant funding.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to craft persuasive proposals.
    • Strong research skills to identify funding opportunities and relevant data.
    • Proficiency in budgeting and financial planning.
    • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
