JOB DESCRIPTION


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively support the launch of PROMPTS and expansion activities across all districts and health facilities, and ensure all activities are implemented based on the organization’s key performance indicators.
  • Maintain relationships with districts and health facility managers/service providers (including private and faith-based facilities) through constant communication and reporting to secure the continuous enrolment of mothers.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of PROMPTS programs in all assigned districts and health facilities, including collating and uploading enrolment data from health facility contact persons to ensure smooth data flow for processing.
  • Actively coordinate the enrollment and engagement of new and expectant mothers, and evaluation of activities related to PROMPTS in all assigned districts and health facilities.
  • Test alternative enrollment methods including the use of healthcare workers, posters, job aids, Network of Practice (NoP), as well as through the Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) initiative.
  • Actively engage with health facilities to identify and provide training of health staff (midwives and nurses) on PROMPTS, receiving and uploading data to ensure all mothers benefit from the intervention.
  • Prepare and share monthly/quarterly/annual reports with the relevant managers in the regions, districts, and health facilities of implementation. This should be timely to improve the quality-of-care mothers receive at the health facilities while ensuring the efficient running of the program.
  • Monitor PROMPTS software/tools and suggested improvements to guarantee quality service provision to all enrolled mothers.
  • Communicate field-related challenges and/or opportunities with context-specific solutions/interventions to the PROMPTS program manager.
  • Coordinate supportive supervision on PROMPTS with districts and health facilities, prioritizing poor performing facilities and supporting in-facility PROMPTS contact persons with tailor-made solutions.
  • Ensure all mums are enrolled in compliance with Ghana’s Data Protection Act (Act 843).
  • Attend all program and organizational-related meetings through the provided channels such as virtual or in-person meetings to promote organizational cohesiveness.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Number of Districts/Facilities that are actively enrolling and engaging with mums on PROMPTS in the zone of responsibility.
  • Monthly enrollment (mums reached and consented) vs targets
  • At least 90% active consenting for all enrollment options
  • 80% ANC and PNC coverage for PROMPTS enrollments
  • Timely updating of monthly/quarterly/annual reporting tools and reports
  • Routine reports are shared with all facilities as per the schedule

QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Information Management, Project Management, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in the implementation of public health projects/programs (including fieldwork, supervision, data collection, analysis, monitoring, and evaluation activities).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in utilizing digital health/m-Health interventions or tools within the healthcare sector.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience using software and tools in project management or public health research. This includes but not limited to Microsoft Office, STATA, R, ODK, REDCap, etc.
  • Data collection methods for quantitative and qualitative research purposes.
