Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules.
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Ensure effective coordination between different project teams and subcontractors.
    • Oversee the design, planning, and construction phases of the project.

 

  • Budget Management & Cost Control:
    • Ensure that the project stays within budgetary constraints.
    • Monitor costs and control project expenses, ensuring financial efficiency.
    • Approve project invoices and ensure payments are made in a timely manner.

 

  • Stakeholder & Client Management:
    • Serve as the main point of contact between the client, stakeholders, and project team.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of project status, risks, and issues.

 

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, motivate, and manage the project team, including contractors, engineers, architects, and suppliers.
    • Foster a collaborative environment to ensure project goals are met.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and encourage professional development.

 

  • Risk Management & Problem-Solving:
    • Identify potential risks to the project and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Address issues that arise during the project lifecycle and find practical solutions to keep the project on track.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.

 

  • Quality Control:
    • Monitor construction quality and ensure that all work meets the required specifications and standards.
    • Ensure all work is inspected and completed according to contractual agreements.
    • Maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

 

  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure all permits, licenses, and approvals are obtained in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation (e.g., contracts, reports, meeting notes).
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.

 

  • Reporting & Performance Tracking:
    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on project progress, risks, and financials.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project success and improve future performance.
    • Evaluate project performance and ensure that lessons learned are documented for future projects.

 

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • BSc Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience with 6 years’ experience on large infrastructure projects.
