Job Overview 

A reputable civil society organization based in Accra with branches in all regions and selected districts in Ghana is looking for experienced and motivated health professionals to implement a new project focusing on improving maternal and child health outcomes in six regions of Ghana (North East, Northern, Savannah, Upper East, Upper West and Western Regions)

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in preparing and monitoring project budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and donor requirements
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly reconciliations, to inform project management and donors
• Ensure all financial activities comply with donor regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements
• Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, including payments, invoicing and payroll processing
• Assist in maintaining up-to-date assets and store registers
• Work with the programme management, M&E and finance and audit teams to manage project budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources

Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related field. Professional certification will be desirable (CA,ACCA)
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a donor-funded project or NGO setting.

Skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and budget management
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
