Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Planning and Development:
    • Design and develop program objectives, strategies, and implementation plans.
    • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for program development.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to design impactful initiatives.
  2. Program Implementation:
    • Oversee day-to-day program activities and ensure they align with organizational goals.
    • Coordinate with team members, partners, and vendors to execute program tasks.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements during implementation.
  3. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E):
    • Develop and implement M&E frameworks to track program progress and outcomes.
    • Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of program activities.
    • Prepare regular progress reports and recommend improvements based on findings.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with program partners, donors, and beneficiaries.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders to achieve program goals.
    • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other public forums.
  5. Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring optimal use of resources.
    • Monitor expenses and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
    • Report financial performance to donors and organizational leadership.
  6. Fundraising and Proposal Development:
    • Contribute to fundraising efforts by preparing grant proposals and concept notes.
    • Identify funding opportunities and build relationships with potential donors.
    • Ensure timely submission of proposals and donor reports.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program activities, expenditures, and outcomes.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Document success stories and lessons learned for knowledge sharing.
  8. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks to program success and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor external factors that may impact program implementation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in program or project management, typically 3-5 years.
    • Experience in the non-profit, public, or private sector working on similar projects.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data for decision-making.
    • Budget management and financial acumen.
