JOB DESCRIPTIONS


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the design and execution of research projects, including literature reviews, data collection, analysis, and report writing.
  • Develop and implement research methodologies and strategies to generate meaningful insights.
  • Synthesize complex data and provide actionable recommendations to inform programmatic decision-making.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of research initiatives, ensuring quality and accuracy of data.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather relevant data and ensure research objectives are met.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in research methods and best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate key programs within the organization, ensuring they align with overall strategic goals.
  • Develop program goals, objectives, and timelines, and monitor progress to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Lead programmatic teams, providing guidance and support to ensure effective implementation.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure programs are integrated across organizational functions.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on program performance, results, and challenges.
  • Ensure that programs meet regulatory, compliance, and budgetary requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Public Policy, Public Health, Business Administration, etc.).
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in research, program management, or a related field, with a focus on strategic leadership.
  • Experience managing large-scale research projects and programs, ideally in a senior role.
  • Proven experience in designing research methodologies, data collection, and analysis.
  • Strong background in program management, including planning, budgeting, and evaluation.

Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata) and/or project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to research and program management.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including funders, partners, and community groups.
