JOB DESCRIPTION


Key Responsibilities:  

Program Development and Implementation

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of cocoa program strategies and activities on living income and climate resilience (building on the Roadmap for deforestation free cocoa in Cameroon).
  • Oversee technical work, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. · Develop concept notes, technical guidelines and action plans to meet specific program requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective program delivery.

Operational Management 

  • Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with financial and administrative policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of program activities and outcomes. 

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:  

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including cocoa industry/private sector partners, government entities (e.g. ONCC, CICC, FODECC, ONACC…), NGOs and other partners (e.g. EU, WCF, ICCO, FAO, GIZ).
  • Convene multi-stakeholder platforms to foster collaboration and synergies to drive program objectives. This includes facilitation of meetings and workshops.
  • Support communication objectives of IDH Cameroon and IDH Cocoa · Represent IDH at national and international networks and platforms.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Supporting data collection, verification and reporting for the purposes of donor accountability and internal learning.

Financial Management

  • Manage program budgets, ensuring financial oversight and accountability.

Technical Support and Innovation:  

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the achievement of operational goals by the IDH Cameroon team.
  • Drive innovation in program approaches.
