JOB DESCRIPTIONS

 Responsibilities

Production Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of premix concrete production.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage production schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor and adjust production processes to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all concrete products meet industry and client standards and specifications.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures, including testing and inspection protocols.
• Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and train production staff, promoting a culture of safety and teamwork.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff development.
• Foster an environment that encourages continuous improvement.

Cost Management:

• Monitor production costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining quality.
• Prepare reports on production metrics, costs, and efficiency.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure seamless operations.
•  Coordinating with the sales team to ensure accurate order taking, scheduling deliveries, and managing the fleet of concrete trucks

Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials to ensure adequate supply for production demands while minimizing excess stock.
• Implement inventory tracking systems and maintain accurate records of material usage and stock levels.
• Address any raw material shortages or quality issues that could impact production efficiency.

Innovation:

• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in concrete production.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement new technologies as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree / Tertiary technical training in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in concrete production or related field, with at least 4 years in a production supervisor role.
• Proven track record in managing production operations in a concrete manufacturing environment.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of concrete mix design, quality control, and production processes.
• Proficiency in using production management software and tools.

Work Environment

• This position may require working in both office and outdoor settings, including exposure to machinery and construction sites. The role may involve occasional travel to project sites or suppliers.
