Position Summary

The Procurement Manager will play an essential role in overseeing the purchasing operations of the organization. They will manage supplier relations, negotiate deals, oversee the purchase of goods and services, and ensure efficient, cost-effective procurement processes.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
    • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.
    • Continually seek opportunities to diversify our supplier list.
  2. Procurement Processes:
    • Lead the procurement process from requisition to payment.
    • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance throughout the organization.
  3. Negotiation & Contract Management:
    • Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers.
    • Review and manage existing contracts, ensuring suppliers adhere to stipulated terms.
  4. Budgeting & Cost Analysis:
    • Collaborate with the finance department to set and adhere to procurement budgets.
    • Regularly analyze procurement activities to ensure cost-efficiency.
  5. Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary.
    • Work closely with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of items.
  6. Compliance & Quality Control:
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with all regulatory requirements.
    • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure items procured meet organizational standards.
  7. Team Management:
    • Lead the procurement team, providing guidance and training as necessary.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the procurement department.

Education and Experience 

  • Graduate /Professional Degree in Procurement or related studies with at least 3 years of experience preferred. 
  • Undergraduate Degree with, at least, 5-years experience, desired. 
  • Experience delivering meaningful, and high impact lessons and workshops.
