About the job

The purpose of this role is to plan, organize, and manage all operations and service delivery to produce the desired outcome of a high-quality product or service that satisfies our clients/customer demands.

General Responsibilities And Duties

Procurement:

  •  Create a buying strategy that takes into account the company budget and necessary supplies and source matching vendors
  •  Find suppliers that have certain certifications, accreditation, and insurance, along with a steady stream of materials that fit within budget restraints
  •  Ensure the purchase of good quality materials at reasonable cost for projects execution
  •  Develop procurement and purchase procedure policy for implementation
  •  Successfully implement policies and ensure they are strictly adhered to
  •  Liaise with the Finance Department for the preparation of budget estimates for all projects
  •  Ensure that all workshop safety practices are strictly adhered to
  •  Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
  •  Manage and set up stores overviewing availables and issuing of materials

Transportation

  •  Responsible for making sure that all operations vehicle’s Road Worthiness, AMA and Insurance certificates are up to date
  •  Promptly report any accidents, injuries, mechanical problems and vehicle damage to management for redress
  •  Attend to all Police issues concerning company vehicles and drivers
  •  Enforce and monitor for the completion of vehicle log books and authorization of movement of vehicles at all times
  •  Supervise drivers to ensure that all driving and vehicle safety practices are strictly adhered and also give fuel base on mileages to avoid siphoning
  •  Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.


Experience And Requirement

  •  MSc. Logistics & Supply Chain Management with approximately 3-5yr+experience in related field
  •  Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management or Purchasing and Supply
  •  Proven experience as procurement or transport executive or similar role
  •  Should possess a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience
  •  Good understanding of stocks management, competitive pricing and establishment of procurement policy
  •  Thorough knowledge of strategic planning principles and procurement/transportation best practices
  •  Proficient in MS Office and related stocks software
  •  Excellent communication, numeracy and people skills
  •  Strong organizational and time-management abilities
