Job Summary:
We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Stores Officer to manage our pharmacy stores, ensuring efficient inventory management, procurement, and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
1. Maintain accurate inventory records.
2. Monitor stock levels and reorder as necessary.
3. Conduct regular stock checks and audits.
Procurement:
1. Source and purchase pharmaceuticals and supplies.
2. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers.
3. Ensure timely delivery of ordered items.
Supply Chain Management:
1. Coordinate with logistics and transportation.
2. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Maintain relationships with suppliers.
Storage and Distribution:
1. Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity).
2. Manage inventory disposal (expiries, damages).
3. Coordinate with pharmacy staff for stock distribution.
Quality Control:
1. Inspect incoming goods for quality and authenticity.
2. Report any discrepancies or issues.
Compliance and Governance:
1. Adhere to regulatory requirements (Ghana Pharmacy Council).
2. Maintain confidentiality and data protection.
Support and Administration:
1. Provide support to pharmacy staff.
2. Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
3. Maintain filing and documentation systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Pharmacy work and/or supply chain management
2. Registered with relevant pharmacy council.
3. 2+ years experience in pharmacy stores management.
4. Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and inventory management.
5. Proficient in inventory management software.
Desirable:
1. Experience with procurement and supply chain management.
2. Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:
