About The Role
We're seeking a People Administrator to join our dynamic team in Leeds City Centre on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your HR expertise, grow your skills, and develop your career in a supportive environment.

As an integral part of the People Services team, you'll provide first-line support and guidance to managers, employees, and the People Leadership team. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and updating our people systems, ensuring accurate employee records, and supporting the delivery of the wider people strategy.

You'll manage multiple HR processes, ensuring all work meets high standards and aligns with our service level agreements. Additionally, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing people processes to deliver an exceptional customer experience and first-class service to the business.

This is an exciting time to join as we prepare to implement a new People system. You'll play a key role in reviewing and refining our processes while supporting the business through this transformational journey.

What will you be doing?
Ensure all HR administration is processed accurately, in a timely manner and with due care to First Bus policies, employment legislation and the principles of GDPR.
Support managers to provide information and support on people processes across First Bus.
Work with our people system to ensure this is kept up to data and produce people reports for business stakeholders.
Provide excellent customer service when managing internal and external stakeholders, to ensure all people requests are resolved on a first-time fix basis.
Proactively provide suggestions for process development and system enhancements to improve the customer experience and ensure compliance within the team.
Keep up to date with HR best practice to be able to respond to queries effectively and identify new areas of service enhancement.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure understanding of people processes across the business.

What are we looking for?
Previous experience of working in a HR function and knowledge of key people processes.
Knowledge of relevant HR legislation associated with the employee life cycle.
Organised and results driven with an eye for detail.
Experience of working with a People system and utilising information from that system to support stakeholders
The ability to handle confidential and sensitive people situations.
A team player committed to working with customers and colleagues to achieve the First Bus people strategy.
