Network Infrastructure Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose 
The Network & Infrastructure Support Officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure and providing technical support to our internal teams. This role requires a strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and troubleshooting techniques.

Key Responsibilities 
▪️ Manage and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
▪️ Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network outages and connectivity issues.
▪️ Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and software.
▪️ Implement security measures to protect the network infrastructure and data.
▪️ Collaborate with IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve complex network issues.
▪️ Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding network and infrastructure-related issues.
▪️ Perform routine audits of network systems to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
▪️ Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.

 Technical Expertise:
Network Administration, Systems Administration, Security Practices, Backup and Recovery, IT Infrastructure Management & Patch Management.

Personal Attributes:
Strong client orientation, innovation and problem-solving, communication skills.

 Academic & Professional Qualification  
▪️ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
▪️ Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) will be an added advantage.
