Responsibilities
- Advocate for Girl Guides, serving as a representative for girls at local, regional, and national levels; stay informed on key issues impacting girls’ lives and contribute to future planning.
- Promote and expand membership of the Association.
- Lead and manage the implementation of the Association's strategic goals, both long and short-term.
- Ensure the Association is structured and staffed to support its strategic objectives.
- Drive revenue generation to meet the Association’s financial targets.
- Oversee all expenditures to ensure they remain within the approved annual budget.
- Evaluate and manage the Association’s risks, ensuring effective monitoring and mitigation.
- Maintain strong internal controls and efficient management information systems.
- Ensure the Association operates with legal and ethical integrity.
- Uphold high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility within the Association.
- Act as a liaison between management and the National Board, facilitating clear communication with employees, government entities, the public, and other stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the Association's activities and external influences, keeping leadership informed.
- Ensure the National Board receives sufficient information to make sound judgments and decisions.
- Maintain transparency in all public disclosures by the Association.
- Collaborate with the Chairperson to develop Board meeting agendas and set dates, times, and locations for National Council meetings.
- Request special National Board meetings when necessary.
- Serve on National Board committees as appropriate.
- Adhere to and promote compliance with the Association's policies, including those on environment, safety, and health.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the National Board.
