Key Responsibilities:
Metal Fabrication & Assembly:
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Operate machinery such as shears, presses, saws, and welding equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools to finish and refine metal structures.
Blueprint Reading & Technical Interpretation:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Ensure precise measurements and alignment during fabrication.
- Modify designs and adjust components to meet project requirements.
Welding & Finishing:
- Perform welding, grinding, and polishing to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Apply protective coatings and treatments to prevent corrosion.
Quality Control & Safety Compliance:
- Conduct inspections to ensure fabricated parts meet quality standards.
- Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment to prevent workplace hazards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or vocational training in metal fabrication or welding.
- Experience in metal fabrication, welding, or manufacturing processes.
- Certification in welding or fabrication techniques is a plus.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in welding, cutting, and machining metal.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements.
- Knowledge of different metals and fabrication techniques.
