JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with Project Teams: Collaborate with project teams to develop and achieve project-specific learning objectives, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and objectives.
- MEAL Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with MEAL policies and procedures, guaranteeing effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning practices throughout project lifecycles.
- Action Plan Development: Develop and implement action plans aimed at improving the project-level MEAL performance, ensuring continuous improvement in data collection, reporting, and analysis processes.
- Standardized Tools and Systems: Design and develop standardized data collection tools, database systems, and other relevant materials to ensure consistency and quality in project monitoring.
- Data Collection and Verification: Conduct frequent data collection, ensuring that the data is accurate, reliable, and relevant. Verify the reported results to ensure their accuracy and integrity.
- Data Analysis and Presentation: Analyze data, summarize findings, and present project progress and outcomes in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders, management, and donors.
- Accountability Mechanisms: Implement and oversee project accountability mechanisms, ensuring that beneficiaries and stakeholders have the means to provide feedback and voice concerns related to project activities.
- Feedback to Partners: Provide constructive feedback to project partners regarding MEAL performance and suggest areas for improvement to enhance project impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) in a development, humanitarian, or similar context.
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and the development of monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Experience with database management and familiarity with MEAL software (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, CommCare, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear reports and present findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of project accountability and feedback mechanisms.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
