JOB DESCRIPTION



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, bookstores, libraries, and other sales channels.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets by promoting our titles and identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Present and pitch new titles to schools, highlighting key selling points and market potential.
  •  Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses.
  • Attend industry events, book fairs, and conferences to network and promote our titles.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Work closely with the editorial and production teams to stay informed about upcoming releases.

  

Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the publishing or book industry.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Passion for books and a good understanding of the publishing market.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
