Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Performance Management: Set clear performance goals, conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide constructive feedback, and conduct performance reviews to ensure team members meet their objectives and grow in their roles.
  • Workload Management and Prioritization: Oversee and assign tasks and projects, ensuring the team’s workload is balanced, deadlines are met, and resources are allocated effectively to achieve marketing goals.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure that the team’s efforts align with overall company objectives and marketing strategies, providing direction and adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Reporting and Communication: Regularly report on team progress, challenges, and successes to senior management, ensuring transparency and alignment with broader marketing initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements 

  • 2-3+ years of experience managing customer marketing at a company, including leading a team with multiple direct reports.
  • Solid experience leading event strategy or partnering with internal teams to oversee customer-involvement and customer invitations. 
  • Experience identifying target account lists or ABM strategies to develop unique ways to engage priority accounts.
  • A strong understanding of customer communities with an aptitude for fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging active participation.
  • Proficiency working with customer advocates, facilitating testimonials, case studies, and speaking opportunities that showcase the value of our products.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of the customer journey from awareness to engagement to conversion.
  • Data analysis skills to measure the success of marketing initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams such as sales, product, and customer success to align marketing strategies with overall business goals.
