Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for planning and
maintenance excellence? Drill Masters Africa Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Planner to
join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting all maintenance and planning
activities. This position ensures the efficient and safe delivery of maintenance schedules
and budgets through effective use of the MEXData system and MS Office, aligned with
our strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead by example in promoting safety, environmental stewardship, and social
responsibility.
* Support the development and execution of maintenance schedules and plans in
collaboration with the Senior Planner.
* Monitor critical activities, track progress, and prepare weekly and monthly
reports.
* Maintain updated records of site work progress and proactively manage changes
to avoid cost or schedule overruns.
* Ensure spare parts inventory aligns with current and future maintenance plans.
* Identify opportunities to prevent recurring failures and support continuous
improvement initiatives.
* Adhere to procurement policies and ensure accurate cost allocation for
refurbishment activities.
* Participate in key planning meetings and maintain records of actions to ensure
completion.
* Apply industry best practices and standards, contributing to DMA’s quality
systems and processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering and Related Field of
Study
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner.
* Proficiency with CMMS (preferably MEXData) and MS Office tools.
Technical and Leadership Competencies:
* Proficient in MEXData and MS Project, with a strong understanding of HSE
management systems.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and managerial skills.
