  1. Food Preparation Assistance:
    • Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
    • Help in organizing and storing ingredients, ensuring that food items are easily accessible and properly labeled.
  2. Cleaning and Sanitization:
    • Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils, ensuring high standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
    • Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware, ensuring they are returned to the kitchen in a clean, usable condition.
    • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in a hygienic manner, including recycling.
  3. Assisting with Stock Management:
    • Help in receiving, unpacking, and organizing deliveries of food, supplies, and equipment.
    • Ensure food products are stored in accordance with safety regulations, including proper temperatures.
  4. Maintaining Kitchen Equipment:
    • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen appliances, such as ovens, refrigerators, and dishwashers.
    • Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
  5. Supporting Kitchen Staff:
    • Work closely with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure an efficient flow of tasks during service periods.
    • Ensure all utensils, ingredients, and tools are ready and available for the chefs when needed.
  6. Adherence to Health and Safety Regulations:
    • Follow all food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
    • Ensure that all cleaning and storage tasks are completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  7. General Kitchen Organization:
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment to facilitate efficient food preparation.
    • Assist in organizing the kitchen storage area, ensuring that food and equipment are stored safely and efficiently.

Key Requirements:

  1. Physical Stamina:
    • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Attention to Detail:
    • Ability to follow instructions carefully and maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  3. Basic Knowledge of Food Safety:
    • Understanding of basic food safety principles and hygiene practices to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food quality.
  4. Teamwork:
    • Ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff in a busy environment, following instructions and offering support where needed.
  5. Good Communication Skills:
    • Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and supervisors, especially in fast-paced or noisy environments.
  6. Reliability and Punctuality:
    • Dependability in arriving on time for shifts and being consistent in performing assigned tasks.
  7. Previous Experience (Preferred but Not Required):
    • Prior experience in a kitchen environment is a plus but not mandatory, as training is often provided
