Outside IT is a fast paced, dynamic team in need of a knowledgeable IT Specialist. The IT Specialist will help provide technical support and maintenance for the organization's computer systems and networks, including both system administration responsibilities and general IT support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer hardware and software, as well as experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the IT Specialist is responsible for the effective operation of IT services and support across the organization and serves as a technical expert for the development, implementation, management, and support of systems and networks. Together with the IT team, they evaluate new and enhanced approaches to deliver IT services; test and optimize the functionality of systems, networks, and data; and define technical requirements. 

Within 1 month, you will: 

• Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving network problems, and answering user questions
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
• Provide training and documentation to users on how to use the organization's computer systems and networks
• Design and generate reports as requested 

Within 6 months, you will: 

• Collaborate with other IT professionals and vendors to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's IT systems and networks
• Help improve the onboarding and offboarding workflows of employees, including installation all new technology for the company or for new hires (e.g., computer operating systems, software programs and applications)
• Maintain and update computer systems and networks, including installing new software and hardware, performing system backups, and monitoring system performance
• Maintain inventory of internal licenses, SaaS applications, contracts, and track compliance 
• Work with the Security Engineer to implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's computer systems and networks from unauthorized access and data breaches

Within 12 months, you will: 

• Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases; oversee warranties and service agreements 
• Systematically perform local security checks and audits to ensure staff have appropriate system access
• Implement and maintain an asset management system, keeping it up to date for all assets and services through their life cycle. Create workflows that manage renewals, contracts, and application owners
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends and developments, and recommend new technologies to improve the organization's IT infrastructure
• Research, design, and implement the appropriate technologies to support and improve corporate communications, access to information, and end-user productivity

What We Offer:

Colorado Jobs: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $65,000 to $78,000. Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and many more. The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for this role, and may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
