The Opportunity

As a Insurance Risk Management Analyst you will support the Treasury Team, working on broad Insurance matters and initiatives global for Abt.  To be successful you will be a self- motivated and proactive professional with strong communication and project management skills.

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate insurance certificate requests from internal stakeholders and related insurance broker communications.
  • Coordinate data gathering for annual insurance renewal.
  • Prepare necessary support schedules for insurance renewal cycle (including but not limited to workers comp renumeration data, statement of values, and statement of values for leased locations). 
  • Support Treasury Director with data gathering for insurance renewal application, business interruption and other broker provided support schedules.
  • Support Treasury Director with handling of all claim matters, and support of monopolistic workers comp matters.
  • Assist the Treasury Director in preparing board level presentation materials regarding insurance benchmarking and coverage levels.
  • This role will leverage the existing capabilities of our internal ticket system (Service Now) and use of Power BI covering all legal entities. 
  • This role will also support change management activities required for auto and other property policies related to international locations.
  • This role is considered first level support for any/all claim matters related to property casualty program.  For claim matters requiring higher level support this role will act as primary coordinator for the Treasury Director.
  • This role will include interaction with multiple departments and division stakeholders to implement risk management actions.  Examples may include coordination of risk management training for internal stakeholders in our Contracts area or other departments.   
  • This role will help the Treasury  Team revise its document processes and improve its core competencies. 
  • Support Treasury Director and other team members with updates to SharePoint files related to department expense data.
  • Other ad hoc projects and duties  as assigned 

What We Value

  • Bachelor’s Degree + Five years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Three years of relevant experience
  • Candidate with a bachelor’s degree and preferably two years’ experience supporting insurance matters.  Experience may substitute for a degree if a candidate has direct experience in risk management/insurance. 
  • Ideal candidates will have academic or work experience in Insurance, Banking  and international business. 
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Strong Excel modeling, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills
  • Electronic file storage and organization skills
  • Comfort with frequent international electronic and telephonic communication.
  • Foreign language skills are a plus as are a background or interest in foreign culture and international development sector.
  • Comfort dealing with disparate corporate communications requiring consolidation.
  • Desire to build skills via the use of visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is desired.
  • Willingness to maintain a dedicated/strong work ethic to conclude project activities.
