Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled HR Specialist with expertise in recruitment, regulatory compliance, and handling employee paperwork and insurance processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Ghanaian labor laws, benefits administration, and the recruitment lifecycle. The HR Specialist will ensure smooth operations of the HR department by managing recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits, insurance, and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing:
Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and hiring.
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
Ensure job descriptions align with organizational needs and industry standards.
Compliance & Regulations:
Stay updated with the latest HR-related laws and regulations in Ghana, including labor laws, tax laws, and health & safety regulations.
Ensure that all employee paperwork is in compliance with Ghanaian labor laws (e.g., contracts, work permits, termination procedures).
Monitor and ensure compliance with social security, pension, and insurance requirements for all employees.
Insurance & Benefits Management:
Administer employee insurance programs (health, life, and other applicable insurances).
Manage employee benefits, ensuring timely registration and deductions for social security and pension schemes.
Provide employees with necessary information and assistance regarding their insurance and benefits options.
Employee Documentation & Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, insurance documentation, and compliance papers.
Ensure all HR-related paperwork is processed in a timely and organized manner.
Employee Relations:
Act as a point of contact for employees’ HR-related concerns and provide support when necessary.
Advise management on HR best practices and employee relations matters.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in HR, with a focus on recruitment and regulatory compliance (minimum of 3 years preferred).
In-depth knowledge of Ghanaian labor laws, insurance, and employee benefits regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
