JOB DESCRIPTION


Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Develop job descriptions and post vacancies for transport staff (drivers, dispatchers, support staff).
  • Screen and interview candidates, ensuring they meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct background checks and verify driver’s licenses and certifications.

2. Employee Onboarding & Training

  • Facilitate new employee orientation and training programs, including safety procedures and customer service protocols.
  • Organize periodic refresher training for drivers on road safety and vehicle maintenance.

3. Workforce Management & Scheduling

  • Coordinate driver schedules to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Monitor attendance, leaves, and shift allocations to ensure 24/7 transport coverage.
  • Address driver concerns and maintain a positive work environment.

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all drivers possess valid licenses, permits, and certifications as required by law.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, payroll details, and performance reports.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and labor laws to maintain compliance.

5. Performance Monitoring & Employee Relations

  • Track driver performance using KPIs such as punctuality, customer service, and incident reports.
  • Handle grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions professionally.
  • Conduct periodic performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.

6. Health, Safety & Welfare

  • Promote workplace safety by enforcing company policies on road safety, fatigue management, and emergency procedures.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to address vehicle-related concerns affecting drivers.
  • Organize wellness programs to improve employee morale and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in HR, preferably in the transport, logistics, or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and transport regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
