High Voltage Technician - Electric Vehicles (EVs)

About the Role

The High Voltage Technician- Electric Vehicles (EVs) will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage electrical systems within our EVs and their charging infrastructure. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our electric vehicle operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair high-voltage systems in electric vehicles and EV charging stations.

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical issues in EVs, ensuring timely repairs.

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on EVs and related equipment.

• Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry standards in all high-voltage work.

• Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to support the development and deployment of EV technologies.

• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including maintenance records and technical reports.

• Provide emergency repair services and support for EV systems as needed.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Certified High Voltage Technician with relevant licenses, specifically in the context of electric vehicles. 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with high-voltage systems in electric vehicles or related industries. 
• In-depth knowledge of EV technology, high-voltage battery systems, and charging infrastructure. 
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in handling high-voltage systems. 
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and EV-specific documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a startup environment.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and respond to on-call emergencies.
