Responsibilities

  • Lead in the development of a procurement plan and strategy for the Institute.
  • Undertake initial negotiation of supplier and vendor agreements.
  • Manage all supplier and vendor contracts.
  • Review and approve all items prior to purchase.
  • Develop Procurement policies and procedures for the Institute
  • Lead the procurement team by setting yearly objectives and monitoring them.
  • Negotiate effective contracts with suppliers by adhering to the policies and procedures.
  • Create and Manage relationships with Suppliers.
  • Establish an effective mechanism to ensure that stock are replenished.
  • Source for competitive quotations for price, quality and delivery conditions
  • Confirm orders with suppliers follow up deliveries and liaise with accounts office to ensure suppliers are paid promptly.
  • Seek approval from relevant departments and authorities to commit the company to the transaction.
  • Submit periodic reports to the Head of Finance/President.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Qualification : Degree
  • Experience Level : Senior level
  • Experience Length : 5 years
  • Ten (10) years’ relevant experience a minimum of five (5) years in a managerial role.
