Job Description
The finance manager will report to the Chief Executive Officer be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting
* Prepare and report on monthly/quarterly financial and management reports.
* Lead the preparation of annual financial statements for audits and statutory reporting.
2. Finance Software Management
* Take charge of the financial software system (Tally), ensuring proper use and maintenance.
3. Day-to-Day Financial Operations
* Supervise day-to-day financial tasks such as payroll, inventory management, invoicing, and transactions.
* Cashflow management.
* Ensure timely completion of tax returns and compliance with statutory requirements.
4. Financial Planning & Analysis
* Oversee financial planning and budgeting and financial advice to the Executive Director and Finance Committee on financial matters.
5. Team Coaching & Support
* Offer guidance and training to department heads to enhance financial literacy.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
6. Financial Systems & Internal Controls
* Develop and maintain financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the smooth operation of the finance function.
7. Ad Hoc Analysis
* Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to provide insights for improving performance and resource allocation.
Qualifications
* Proficient in financial modeling, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis, with strong skills in Excel.
* A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Finance, preferably in Agriculture or Manufacturing.
* Strong experience in managing financial audits and statutory reporting.
