Key Responsibilities
Export Operations & Logistics
- Oversee and manage the entire export process, ensuring smooth and timely shipment of goods.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and transport providers to optimize delivery schedules.
- Track shipments and resolve any transportation or logistics-related issues.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and review export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, export regulations, and company policies.
- Apply for necessary export licenses, permits, and regulatory approvals as required.
Customs Clearance & Regulatory Compliance
- Work closely with customs authorities to ensure efficient clearance of exported goods.
- Ensure accurate tariff classification, export duty payments, and compliance with trade restrictions.
- Stay updated on international trade regulations and changes in export policies.
Client & Supplier Coordination
- Communicate with international clients to confirm order details, shipping schedules, and delivery expectations.
- Collaborate with suppliers and production teams to ensure timely fulfillment of export orders.
- Address any customer concerns related to export shipments and documentation.
Risk Management & Cost Control
- Monitor export costs, including freight charges, duties, and taxes, to optimize expenses.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the export process, such as delays, compliance issues, or geopolitical restrictions.
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage for exported goods.
Reporting & Record-Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of all export transactions, shipments, and customer communications.
- Prepare reports on export performance, costs, and market trends.
- Analyze export data to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in export operations, international trade, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of global trade regulations, export documentation, and customs procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office Suite, and export management tools.
