Design electrical system architecture to enable various robot operations and functions.
Modify and improve existing hardware for feature addition and cost reduction.
Debug hardware problems when integrated into a larger system and create fixes/workarounds for said problems.
Take responsibility from the prototype stage all the way to production.
Electrical system-level assembly, basic mechanical design such as brackets, ability to read schematics, and build prototype electrical/electronic circuits.
Collaborate with internal and external contributors to plan, organize, and conduct projects involving the evaluation, fabrication, modification, and design of electronic systems.
Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical, Computer, or Control Systems engineering with 5+ years of prior experience designing electrical and automation systems.
Proven design and development experience in analog and digital circuits, including embedded processors, microcontrollers, mixed signal, data acquisition, low power, mobile/portable electronics
Familiarity with power electronics concepts, including design and operation of power supplies, motor drives and battery management systems.
Proficient with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, soldering irons, and other common electrical engineering tools for testing and measurement
Experience with embedded system/microcontroller concepts, including: GPIOs, PWM, ADCs, DACs, and serial data interfaces (I2C, UART, SPI, CAN, etc.)
Experience with schematic capture and layout tools, e.g. KICAD, Altium Designer, Protel, OrCAD, etc.
Proficiency in PLC programming languages to ensure seamless integration with warehouse material handling systems and other automation technologies.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment.
