KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Policy Development

  • Provide leadership in developing and executing JGC’s International Expansion Strategy.
  • Establish the International Business Roadmap to define target markets, business models, and partnerships.
  • Oversee country prioritization and market entry strategies.
  • Develop and implement the International Business Policy Framework to ensure compliance and governance in global operations.
  • Define operational structures and decision-making protocols for international subsidiaries and offices.

General Administration

  • Provide oversight for the establishment and management of international offices.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards and environmental regulations.
  • Manage high-level partnerships with governments, multilateral agencies, and investors.
  • Represent JGC in bilateral and multilateral discussions related to sanitation and waste management.

Financial Management

  • Coordinate with the investment department to develop investment proposals for international funding.
  • Lead negotiations on bilateral funding agreements with governments and financial institutions.
  • Align project proposals with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Climate Change Financing Mechanisms.
  • Develop and implement a Global Risk Management Framework to assess financial, geopolitical, and environmental risks.

Information and Reporting

  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for international operations.
  • Review and present quarterly performance reports to the Executive Chairman.
  • Consolidate international business performance data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Act as the chief spokesperson for JGC’s international business interests at conferences and summits.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Education/Experience

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ relevant post qualification experience in international business development, expansion strategy, or a related role.
  • Proven experience in leading global market entry strategies and securing international partnerships.
  • Preferably a multilingual who is proficient in English and at least one other international language.
