Job Description


AMI (African Management Institute) is seeking a motivated and talented Customer Growth Specialist to join our team, preferably based in Ghana, on a permanent basis. This role is central to driving sales and participant recruitment for AMI’s business development programs, with a particular focus on the CapPlus BDS for Ghana MSMEs Program and other impact initiatives.
The Customer Growth Specialist will implement sourcing strategies, build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, and manage the participant enrollment process. Additionally, the role involves executing events, creating marketing materials, managing digital campaigns, and ensuring learning needs are met. The specialist will also maintain accurate records of customer interactions through AMI’s CRM system.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Recruitment

  • Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to recruit participants for AMI’s impact programs.
  • Identify and engage prospective candidates through outreach activities, including cold calls, emails, networking events, and social media engagement.
  • Drive lead generation efforts to attract participants for AMI programs, including the CapPlus BDS for Ghana MSMEs Program.

Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, business leaders, industry associations, and partner organizations.
  • Act as the primary liaison for prospective participants, providing clear and accurate information about program benefits, requirements, and the application process.

Enrollment Management

  • Oversee the full enrollment process, from initial contact to program admission, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for all applicants.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create and distribute compelling promotional materials and campaigns.

Strategy Implementation

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of regional recruitment strategies to meet and exceed enrollment targets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and participant feedback to refine and improve recruitment approaches.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all recruitment activities and participant interactions using AMI’s CRM system.
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment metrics, progress toward targets, and insights gained from the recruitment process.



Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Educational Background: Undergraduate degree in Business Studies, Social Sciences, or a relevant field from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
  • Program Sales and Business Development Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in program sales and business development, preferably related to business learning programs.
  • Project Management Skills: Exceptional skills in managing leads through the business development process, from initial generation to successful closure.
  • CRM Expertise: Experience using Zoho or similar CRM systems for tracking and managing customer interactions.
  • Relevant Program Experience: Familiarity with business learning programs, SME development, or leadership initiatives.
