JOB DESCRIPTION
Key activities:
- •Building strong relationships with suppliers to aggregate and collect PET
- •Traveling to find PET, and enhance collectors' capacity
- •Making weekly reports highlighting volume, costs, supplier performance.
- •Managing 3+ collection centres efficiently in a manner that strives to reduce costs of operations
- •Managing and lead a team of 7+ in multiple cities.
- •Engaging with suppliers, communities and stakeholders of different level to drive greater recycling awareness.
- •Working to constantly streamline the sorting processes e.g. sorting, bailing, tracking and storage of bails.
- •Travel to around Ghana frequently
Key performance indicators
- Collect 2000 metric tons of PET per month
- Reduction Cost per KG PET bottle collected, including logistics and operational costs. Reduce liters of fuel consumed per ton of material collected.
- Ensuring collection coordinators hit their targets.
- Ensuring less than 20% of bad stock from loose bottles
- Coordinating with suppliers and logistics vendors to ensure timely supply of materials.
- Sourcing at least 10% of materials from new suppliers/new regions.
- Constantly innovating and improving collection process.
- Reducing bailing time by 20%
- Adhere to 100% health and safety compliance on company site, and supplier's sites.
- Participation in local community collection activities.
- Ensure collection equipment is regularly maintained and in good condition.
- Accurate/ and timely reporting of collection data and activities
- Increase ratio of direct collections from pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, events, schools etc.
- Help 10 suppliers grow to minimum 50 tonnes/month
Scope of the role
Must have:
- Experienced working with Microsoft suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Able to problem solve in a dynamic, constantly changing environment
- Able to work in both the informal sector and the professional sector.
- Strong customer/supplier management skills
