JOB DESCRIPTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively contribute to a positive safety culture and high performing team aspiration
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships within the laboratory team, customers, external business partners and suppliers
• Proactive problem solving in all areas of the laboratory while ensuing delivery of results in expected timeframes
• Lead the development and improvement of test methods
• Responsible for selection, purchase, validation and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Represent the laboratory in QAQC review and oversee data quality and quality management systems
• Train and develop laboratory team members in advanced laboratory equipment operation, wet chemistry, sample preparation and fire assay

QUALIFICATION

• Degree Qualified in Chemistry or related discipline.
• Mining industry experience – highly regarded
• Demonstrated laboratory experience
• Experience in ISO17025 accredited laboratory – highly regarded
• Demonstrated technical understanding of laboratory instrumentation.
