Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Prospect Relationships: Take ownership of direct relationships with prospects, from initial prospecting to invoicing.
  • Networking Events: Represent Solaris Offgrid at networking events, focusing on essential markets such as Microfinance, off-grid energies or clean cooking.
  • Stakeholder Education: Educate PaygOps stakeholders on industry practitioners to convert them into prescribers.
  • Sales Engagement: Collaborate proactively to design outbound strategies and respond to sales-related inquiries.
  • Process Design: Co-design processes to ensure they are data-driven and trackable for sales operations.
  • Industry Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of the last-mile SaaS market and its stakeholders in the African context through research and networking.


Requirements

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and marketing automation tools, such as Salesforce, Mailchimp, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in SaaS platforms like Odoo, Zoho, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in Finance for the BoP a plus.
  • Proficient in English; Good notions of French are a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives, including revenue and pipeline targets.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, with the ability to engage, Ask relevant questions and follow up on conversations with potential customers and partners.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take initiatives and see them through to completion.
  • Ability to exercise effective judgment, curiosity, and empathy when conversing with prospects.
  • Demonstrating creativity in response to changing needs and situations, while ensuring technical compliance with PaygOps features.
  • Passionate about social business and enthusiastic about developing world projects.
