Key Responsibilities:

Financial Recordkeeping:

  1. Record daily financial transactions in accounting software.
  2. Maintain general ledgers and ensure accurate journal entries.
  3. Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  1. Process invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements.
  2. Track outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue payments.
  3. Ensure suppliers and vendors are paid on time.

Payroll Processing:

  1. Assist with payroll preparation, including calculating salaries and deductions.
  2. Ensure tax deductions, benefits, and other withholdings are accurately recorded.
  3. Maintain employee payroll records for compliance and reporting.

Financial Reporting:

  1. Generate financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
  2. Provide financial data to accountants and auditors when needed.
  3. Assist in budget preparation and expense tracking.

Compliance and Tax Preparation:

  1. Ensure financial records comply with legal and tax regulations.
  2. Assist in preparing tax filings and other financial statements.
  3. Keep up to date with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
