JOB DESCRIPTION


Main responsibilities: 

  • Manage B2B Sales Team
  • Grow volumes of product sold through the Oryx Stations by ensuring timely delivery of orders
  • Be the main contact person with other internal departments (Customer Service Centre, Operations, Supply, Finance)
  • Prepare product purchase plan for monthly orders with supply department.
  • Understand monthly price structure and market dynamics and align sales strategy accordingly
  • Prepare yearly budget requirements as per company requirements and deadlines
  • Ensure budgeted sales volumes and product unit margins are achieved throughout the year
  • Develop business plans and fuel sales strategies to ensure Oryx grows its market share
  • Elaborate fuel supply proposals to customer, for both spot and long-term contracts
  • Maintain existing customer portfolio, whenever possible provoking organic growth
  • Search and onboard new customers, expanding B2B client database
  • Be the focal points towards customers, jointly with B2B sales team
  • Ensure all accounts are operated within the agreed contractual terms
  • Accompany the process order-to-cash, ensure smooth execution of the fuel supply chain
  • Manage and motivate the team to maximize sales and efficiency:
  • Conduct regular checks on discipline in executing controls of your department and subordinates
  • Ensure HSEQ standards are respected, both internally and at customer’s premises

  • Management Team: Planning, reporting and monitoring sales related issues
  • Finance: Manage credit, Pricing and receivables
  • Operations: Orders, Loadings, Deliveries and HSSEQ matters
  • Staff: Guidance on policy & any other staff related issues

External:

  • Customer: Prospects and client account management
  • Government: Compliance to regulations

Experience & education required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration or Economics from a recognized University. A post
  • graduate qualification a plus.
  • 5 years’ work experience in similar role
  • Must be prepared to work beyond normal working hours.
  • Must exhibit high integrity and honesty in the performance of his/her function
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and transporters and internal stakeholders
