JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automated systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Program and configure automated equipment and control systems.
- Conduct testing and validation of automated processes.
- Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to identify automation opportunities.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives in automation projects.
- Prepare technical documentation for automation systems.
- Train and support team members on automation technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation systems.
- Conduct risk assessments on automated processes.
- Participate in project planning and scheduling.
- Evaluate and select automation equipment and technologies.
- Analyze data to provide insights on system performance.
- Report project status and outcomes to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in automation engineering.
- Strong knowledge of automation software and hardware.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
- Understanding of robotics and control systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherNet/IP).
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to adapt to changing technologies and processes.
- Certifications in automation or related fields are a plus.
