Key Responsibilities

1. Asset Inventory Management

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all Hannover Logistics assets, including vehicles, warehouses, handling equipment, and IT infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular physical audits to ensure the accuracy of asset records and update the asset management database accordingly.
  • Implement and maintain an efficient asset tagging and tracking system.

2. Asset Utilisation Optimisation

  • Monitor and analyse the utilisation rates of various assets across different operations and locations.
  • Identify underutilised assets and propose strategies for reallocation or disposal to maximise efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to forecast asset needs and plan for capacity adjustments.

3. Maintenance and Lifecycle Management

  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all assets to minimise downtime and extend asset lifespan.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely servicing, repairs, and replacements.
  • Analyse repair histories and performance data to make recommendations on asset replacement or upgrade.

4. Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper accounting and reporting of asset values, depreciation, and related expenses.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for asset acquisitions, leases, and disposals.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on asset performance, utilisation, and financial impact for senior management.

5. Procurement Support

  • Assist the procurement team in defining specifications for new asset acquisitions based on operational needs and performance data.
  • Participate in the evaluation of suppliers and service providers for asset-related purchases and maintenance contracts.
  • Support the process of disposing of old or underutilised assets, ensuring compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.

6. Technology Integration

  • Leverage asset management software and data analytics tools to improve tracking, reporting, and decision-making processes.
  • Propose and implement technological solutions to enhance asset monitoring and management efficiency.
  • Train team members on the use of asset management systems and tools.

7. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all asset management practices comply with relevant local and international regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset ownership, operation, and disposal.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on asset warranties, licences, and certifications.


The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who:

  1. Has a strong background in asset management, inventory control, and fleet management operations.
  2. Demonstrates exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make actionable recommendations.
  3. Possesses excellent organisational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Shows proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills, and experience with asset management or inventory software.
  5. Exhibits strong communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Displays a proactive, problem-solving attitude and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Has a keen interest in technology and its application in improving asset management processes.


Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in asset management, inventory control, or a similar role within the logistics or supply chain sector.
  3. Professional certifications such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) are highly desirable.
  4. Strong analytical and organisational skills, with a proven track record of implementing efficiency improvements.
  5. Proficiency in asset management software and advanced knowledge of data analysis tools.
  6. Excellent project management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
