Job Purpose
* Support the Accounts & Finance Unit in optimizing company's financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of customer payments and customer accounts
Duties & Responsibilities
* Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before customers are supplied
* Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied and uncollectible funds are accounted for
* Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email and personal visits and communicate all discrepancies, identifying slow-paying customers and initiate recovery strategies
* Prepare receivable reports, aging analysis and any other analytical reports relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
* Strengthen and grow relationships with all company's customers by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts
* Assist the unit in rationalizing the accounts receivable process by identifying and recommending areas for performance improvement
*Perform daily invoicing, cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, and updating accounts receivable ledgers
* Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting and comply with national and local financial requirements
* Support other accounting and finance team members in inventory management and cost accounting
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
* Minimum degree in Business/Finance
* Professional Qualification (ICA Part II) / Masters' Degree will be an added advantage
* 3 years' experience in accounts receivable / Accounts payable/Credit Management/ Banking
* Experience in using accounting software/ ERP and driving process improvement
* Ability to work with tight deadlines
