JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Processing accounts payable invoices, including those for raw materials (cement, sand, aggregates), utilities, and other operational expenses.
- Reconciling vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Analysing inventory turnover and identify areas for improvement.
- Preparing and filing tax returns (VAT, Income Tax, etc.)
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Analysing production costs to identify areas for cost reduction and improve profitability.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitoring actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
