Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Support payroll processing by providing accurate financial data and ensuring timely payments.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and support the preparation of tax filings and audits.
- Provide financial data and analysis to the Finance Manager for strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Help streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an accounting role, ideally supporting finance operations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial transactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (English & German) to work effectively with the Finance Manager and other team members.
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
