Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

  1. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  2. Ensure that ledgers, journals, and other financial records are updated and properly organized.
  3. Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records.

Preparation of Financial Statements:

  1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  2. Ensure financial reports comply with accounting principles and standards.
  3. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  1. Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  2. Monitor actual expenses against the budget and identify variances.
  3. Provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.

Tax Compliance:

  1. Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Ensure timely payment of taxes and address any tax-related issues.
  3. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and advise management accordingly.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  1. Manage invoicing, payments, and collections.
  2. Ensure timely payment of suppliers and follow up on overdue receivables.
  3. Monitor and resolve discrepancies in accounts.

Auditing and Internal Controls:

  1. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and information.
  2. Ensure proper implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  3. Identify and mitigate financial risks.

Financial Analysis and Decision Support:

  1. Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  2. Analyze market trends and financial performance to identify opportunities for growth.
  3. Advise management on cost-saving initiatives and profitability improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or CA) are an advantage.
  • Proven experience in accounting or a similar role.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
